"VERANO“

Laying at the Hayling Yacht Company, Mill Rythe, Hayling Island, Verano is a 30 feet LOA Maurice Griffiths designed all wooden Bermudan sloop. She was built by Seacraft on the East Coast and launched in 1968. Based on the "Loan Gull II", she has twin oak bilge keels and an iron ballast keel. Her hull planking is of Afrormosia and the deck is teak laid on ply. She has a single box-section hollow mast and a wooden boom with roller reefing gear for the mains'l. Her sails comprise a standard main (normally bent on) a single cruising geneo, two smaller canvas heads'ls an a "spinoa". Auxiliary power
comes from a recently refurbished 2 cylinder Kelvin diesel.
Verano comes with a assortment of gear including a ship-to-shore VHF radio, warps and lines, boat hook and a hand held RDF. There is a canvas cockpit cover, canvas dodgers anassorted fenders. Other items, such as life jackets could be discussed on viewing. She has an unpressurised cold water system in
the galley and heads and a two burner plastimo cooker with grill and oven. Additionally there is a small refrigerator fitted in the saloon.
Due to the owner's ill health, Verano has been laid up for several years and is now on the market as a "project" boat. All sensible offers will be considered.
